Formation and Report of Sister Schools
Schools may form sister schools with their counterparts in different provinces/municipalities in the Mainland through the coordination of EDB or on their own initiative, so as to allow teachers and students to understand the landscapes, customs and traditions of different provinces/municipalities, and to engage them in bilateral exchanges and collaborations.
Formation through Coordination of EDB
If schools wish to form sister schools through the coordination of EDB, please submit the completed form Indication of Preference for Pairing Up with Mainland Schools to EDB, or complete the electronic form via the Common Log-On System.
- Indication of Preference for Pairing Up with Mainland Schools (Annex 6)
- Electronic Form (Accessible via Common Log-On System)
Formation on Own Initiative
Schools may form sister schools with their Mainland counterparts on their own initiative. Schools are at liberty to liaise with the Mainland schools about the content of the pairing-up documents, as long as the documents clearly indicate their relationship as sister schools. Reference can be made to the sample sister school contract.
Report of Sister Schools
In order to have a general picture on the Hong Kong-Mainland sister school pairs, schools should proactively submit the completed Reporting Form on Mainland Sister Schools and copies of relevant supporting documents to EDB, or complete the electronic form via the Common Log–On System.
